Fieldwork

I have partnered with Cultivate (a horticultural charity and CIC) to establish Fieldwork - a 12-month fully-funded artist residency at a community garden in Ealing.

Launching 2024, it offers an artist or collective a year of access to an empty plot within a community green space. This community-led project prioritises inclusivity, reciprocity and process over product. The garden’s community of volunteers invite the artist to use the plot as an outdoor studio to collaboratively develop their practice.

The residency provides unbridled creative freedom. Attached with a fee, travel expenses, a production budget and horticultural and curatorial support, this year in the garden is time, money and space for an artist to ‘till’ their practice, helping new creative roots take hold.
